Here are some blues patterns
Start these patterns on the low E string
and play the pattern from the lowest notes to the highest notes
This is a pentatonic pattern G for blues
It starts on the F note below G on the low E string
It can be used as G minor pentatonic(blues/rock) or Bb major
pentatonic(country).
If you want to move it to A Minor/C major move the whole pattern up a
whole tone(from the first fret to the 3rd fret).
Another way to play G Minor Pentatonic
Starting this pattern on the 3rd fret will give you
G Minor Pentatonic or the sixth fret Bb major pentatonic
These are the natural notes on your guitar.
Notice that E and F are always a semitone apart.
Notice that B and C are always a semitone apart
That is to say on the neck they are always right next to each other.
In every other case you have to move a whole tone(skip a fret)
to get to the next natural note.
The blank spaces between the notes are sharps(#)
and Flats(b)
This is one octave of the G major Scale
Start with the open G string and follow the sequence of colors.
